RME proudly presents: the first pre-release of the next Hammerfall DSP series driver! This version, labeled 2.9, will not be listed in the download section of our website. We have lots of changes and additions coming up to all HDSP systems, some more, some less, which will be added in the next days, and sometimes even require an updated flash tool.
This version is not expected to bring any trouble to your system, so checking it out should be fun. Of course we are glad about a notice on any bug that we overlooked.
Version 2.9 features the latest Fireface-version of TotalMix, including latest MIDI remote support for all HDSP systems.
Digiface/Multiface get even more changes:
- internal loopback (recording the output)
- changed order of AutoSync sources: Word is now on top
- latest ADAT receiver update
The new Monitor section of TotalMix adresses another request:
with the additional headphone outputs of Digiface and Multiface, ASIO Direct Monitoring was not possible. With the new Monitor section ADM can be monitored even with the Phones output. It's easy:
- Select Phones as your
- Now select your true Main Monitor output, for example channels 1/2, as
- Activate
What happens here is that you mirror the outputs of channels Analog 1/2 to your Phones output. Obviously then any ADM action which can be heard at the 1/2 output will be audible on the Phones output as well.

Digiface/Multiface users: don't forget to cold boot the computer AND the I/O-box after driver installation!
